Cranston Secures championship runner-up finish and 2026 USF Juniors Championship Spirit Award

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Exclusive Autosport closed the 2026 USF Pro Championship Presented by Continental Tire season at Road America with a breakthrough victory, a pair of podium finishes and two drivers inside the top six in the USF Juniors championship standings. Bex Cranston entered the September 23-26 finale with a legitimate opportunity at second in the championship and delivered when it mattered most, charging from ninth to score his first career USF Juniors victory in Race 1. He capped the weekend with a third-place finish in Race 3 to secure the championship runner-up position and was also honored with the 2026 USF Juniors Championship Spirit Award. Cole Medeiros added a strong top-five result in Race 1 and completed his rookie campaign sixth in the standings. Across the season, Exclusive Autosport earned two wins, seven podiums and 13 top-five finishes, placing both drivers inside the top six in points.

“I am incredibly proud of the USF Juniors squad this season,” said Michael Duncalfe, Founder, Co-Owner and CEO. “Bex has worked incredibly hard all year, and to see him earn his first USF Juniors win, finish second in the championship and receive the Championship Spirit Award is a great reflection of the driver and teammate he is. Cole also made tremendous progress throughout his rookie season and continued to show the speed and determination we know he has. I want to thank our entire USF Juniors crew for the effort they put in all season. Finishing the year with two drivers in the top six gives us a lot to be proud of and a strong foundation to build on for 2027.”

After testing and practice, Medeiros and Cranston qualified eighth and ninth, respectively, beginning their weekends just inside the top 10. In the opening race of the tripleheader, both drivers were immediately on the attack, with Medeiros moving up to fifth and Cranston to seventh. As the race developed, Cranston methodically advanced to fifth by the halfway point as the lead pack grew to 10 cars. Following a mid-race caution, Cranston seized the opportunity, making two decisive overtakes in turns five and six to move into second. On the following lap, he passed Karol Pasiewicz around the outside of turn eight to take the lead for good. A full-course yellow followed shortly thereafter, securing Cranston’s first career USF Juniors victory. Medeiros was also on the move in the closing laps, advancing to score a strong fifth-place result.

The final two races of the season took place on Saturday. Race 2 proved challenging, with the penalties dropping both EA drivers down the order, but Cranston responded in Race 3 with another determined drive through the field. His third-place finish marked his second podium of the weekend and secured the runner-up position in the USF Juniors championship standings. Medeiros finished 14th in the finale, completing an encouraging rookie season sixth in the championship.

Cranston’s season-long performance was recognized further at the year-end awards, where he received the 2026 USF Juniors Championship Spirit Award. With the 2026 season now complete, Exclusive Autosport turns its attention to preparation for 2027, including the upcoming USF Pro Championships Fall Combine on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, October 17-18.

Driver Quote: “The finale at Road America treated us very well. The pace was strong from start to finish, and from the outset, we looked like one of the fastest cars on track. In qualifying, I didn’t time the draft quite right, which set us back to P9. Still, we knew all hope wasn’t lost because we had the pace to fight our way forward. In Race 1, we charged all the way to the front, earning my first win in the USF Pro Championships, which I was SUPER proud and excited about. It was an incredible feeling to finally get that first win after all the work we’ve put in throughout the season. In Race 2, we were working our way toward another solid top-three finish before a racing incident set us back. Then, in the final race of the weekend, we worked our way into the lead pack after starting P10 and finished P3, which was enough to secure 2nd in the overall Drivers’ Championship standings. It was a very positive weekend all around, and I can’t thank everyone at Exclusive Autosport enough for their endless hard work—not only throughout this weekend, but throughout the entire season. A special thank you to my engineer, Zach, for his nonstop effort getting the car dialed in; my mechanic, Aiden, for always having the car ready for battle; my coach, Elliott, for always pushing me to be even better; Alycia for always being there for me; and, of course, Michael and Josh for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this tremendous team. I’m looking forward to carrying this upward momentum into the offseason and into 2027!
