LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Exclusive Autosport continued its strong push in the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire championship this past weekend as the series made its long-awaited debut at the historic Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. Racing on one of North America's most iconic and challenging road courses, the team showcased speed and determination throughout the condensed two-race weekend, led by hometown favorite Bex Cranston, who thrilled the local crowd with a pair of career-best second-place finishes. Brenden Cooley rebounded from a difficult start to the event with a strong recovery drive to finish seventh in Race 2, while Cole Medeiros continued to build momentum, gaining valuable experience as the team now turns its focus toward the season finale at Road America.
“Lime Rock was another strong weekend for Bex, who continued his outstanding championship campaign with a pair of podium finishes to remain firmly in title contention heading into the final event of the season,” said Michael Duncalfe, Co-Owner and CEO. “While we didn't achieve the depth of results we expect across the entire program, there were still plenty of positives to build on. Brenden showed tremendous resilience after a difficult start to the weekend, racing forward when it mattered most, while Cole continued to learn and develop with every session, making steady progress as he builds experience at this level. I'm incredibly proud of the effort from our engineers, mechanics, and support staff throughout the week. From the opening laps on Tuesday through the final checkered flag, the entire group remained focused, adaptable, and committed to finding improvements. We now have a break before Road America, giving us the opportunity to analyze everything we've learned, continue refining our package, and return ready to compete for wins and finish the season on a strong note."
Friday's schedule featured a single morning practice session before the field returned to the 1.53-mile circuit for afternoon qualifying. EA quickly found speed, with Cranston leading the team's effort by qualifying fifth, just over three-tenths of a second off the pole in an incredibly tight field. Medeiros secured the 12th-fastest lap, while Cooley qualified 13th, giving the trio solid starting positions as they prepared to tackle the weekend's pair of races.
Saturday featured a pair of 35-lap races to close out the Lime Rock weekend, with the EA Juniors squad putting together one of its strongest collective performances of the season. In the morning's Race 1, Cranston raced at the front throughout the event and crossed the line third before a post-race penalty to the race winner elevated him to a career-best second-place finish. Cranston also set the fastest lap of the race, establishing a new USF Juniors race lap record. Cooley gained two positions to finish 11th, while Medeiros advanced to 12th after another clean and consistent drive.
The team carried that momentum into the late afternoon finale, as the drivers took to the track after the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series main event. Once again, Cranston quickly positioned himself at the front of the field, starting from the outside of the front row. The Connecticut native led a race-high 20 laps and looked poised to capture his first USF Juniors victory before ultimately finishing second, completing a remarkable hometown weekend with back-to-back runner-up results. Not to be outdone, Cooley produced one of the drives of the race, climbing from 15th on the grid to seventh, earning the Tilton Hard Charger honors, while Medeiros rounded out the weekend with a 10th-place result, his ninth of the season.
With these strong overall results, Cranston now sits third in the championship standings. Medeiros is sixth, while Cooley stands in 13th. The solid showing sends Exclusive Autosport into the nearly two-month break with plenty of confidence before the USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire season finale at Road America in late September.
EXCLUSIVE AUTOSPORT – DRIVER RESULTS AND QUOTES
LIME ROCK PARK – LAKEVILLE, CT – JULY 10-11, 2026
BEX CRANSTON - #90
Qualifying: 5th – 51.813
Race 1: Start – 5th / Finish – 2nd
Race 2: Start – 2nd / Finish – 2nd
Driver Quote: "Overall, it was a solid weekend for us. Starting fifth in Race 1 at Lime Rock is never easy because there aren't many big braking zones or passing opportunities, so I knew I had to be aggressive right from the start. We made a couple of good moves early to get into the top three, and once the car came to life, we had really strong pace to finish second. In Race 2, I was pushing hard all race and stayed with the leader until the restart, where I saw an opportunity around the outside and went for it. We were able to lead for a while, but the car started to fade a little near the end, and I had to settle for second. Of course, I wanted the win in front of the home crowd, but adding two podiums and scoring strong championship points is something to be proud of. A huge thank you to everyone at Exclusive Autosport, my engineer Zach Leedy, Aiden Fortney, Elliot Budzinski, my family, sponsors, and all the supporters who came out to cheer me on this weekend."

Race 2: Start – 15th / Finish 7th
Driver Quote: “Lime Rock was not the weekend we wanted, but we kept making improvements throughout the weekend, and I felt more confident every time we went on track. While the results don't fully reflect the progress we made, there's a lot we can take away as a team. A huge thank you to everyone at Exclusive Autosport for all of their hard work, and to my family for their constant support and encouragement. We'll keep building on this momentum and come back ready to finish the season strong”
COLE MEDEIROS - #97
Qualifying: 12th – 52.221
Race 1: Start – 12th / Finish – 12th
Race 2: Start – 13th / Finish – 10th
Driver Quote: "Lime Rock was a challenging weekend for me. I struggled to find the pace in qualifying, which left me starting P12 and put us on the back foot for both races. I made a few mistakes throughout the weekend, but I've learned from them and know what I need to improve. We'll take those lessons into Road America, where we're still in the fight for second in the championship. A huge thank you to everyone at Exclusive Autosport for all of their hard work, and to my parents for their unwavering support all season long. I'm looking forward to finishing the year on a high."
