Defending champion team assembles seven-car lineup for the season opener
ORLANDO, Fla. – Zanella Racing is set to kick off its 2026 USF Juniors Presented by Continental campaign this week as the team heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the opening round of the USF Pro Championships season. The event marks the team’s first USF Juniors race of the new year and signals the beginning of another busy and ambitious development season, one in which they look to repeat as USF Juniors Champions.
Zanella Racing will field an impressive seven-car lineup in USF Juniors for the weekend. Representing the team are Jared Oselka in the #21, Olivier Mrak in the #23, Grant Mitchell in the #28, Maddie Colleran in the #29, Max Mokarem in the #46, Leonardo Serravalle in the #87, and Victor Couto in the #88. The diverse lineup brings together rookie drivers and some fresh momentum as the team looks to make an immediate impact. Recently completing the 2026 YACademy Winter Series with events at the Sebring International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway, Zanella Racing is anxious to get its full-time program underway next week.
“We’re excited to get the season going at Homestead,” explained Zanella Racing Team Owner Jose Zanella. “This group of drivers has put in a lot of work over the offseason and Homestead is a great place to measure where we’re at. Fielding seven cars shows our continued commitment to driver development and competing at a high level in USF Juniors.”
In addition to its USF Juniors effort, Zanella Racing will also welcome USF2000 driver Leonardo Escorpioni to the event. Escorpioni will pilot the #55 entry and participate in USF2000 testing on Monday, February 16, as part of his continued progression within the USF ladder system, with his first wheel-to-wheel event of the season set for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg over the February 27 – March 1 weekend.
The race week schedule begins with a full day of testing on Monday. Tuesday will feature the first official practice session, qualifying and the opening race. The event will conclude on Wednesday with a final qualifying session followed by two additional races.
