THOROLD, Ont., Canada – Leonardo Serravalle closed out his 2026 USF Juniors Presented by Continental championship campaign with a strong weekend at Road America, securing pole position and crossing the line twice among the top three as he finished the season with Zanella Racing.

Taking on the iconic 4.014-mile, 14-turn Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin facility for the final event of the season, Serravalle showed strong pace throughout the weekend and consistently put himself in contention at the front of the field.

Serravalle began the weekend with a standout qualifying effort, securing pole position for Race 1, putting the Canadian at the front of the field for the season finale's opening race.

Starting from inside of the front row, Serravalle immediately found himself in a battle for the lead. While fighting for position on the opening lap, he lost grip entering one of Road America's fast corners and was sent off track, allowing the rest of the field to pass. Despite falling to the back of the field, Serravalle showed the pace that put him on pole, mounting an impressive recovery drive to climb back through the field and finish 14th.

Race 2 brought another opportunity from the front of the field, with Serravalle starting third. This time, he made the most of it, staying at the sharp end of the field and crossing the line third to secure a podium finish.

Serravalle also started third in the final race of the season and delivered another strong performance, crossing the line second. A post-race penalty ultimately affected his official result, but the performance capped a weekend that showcased his growing speed, confidence and race craft.

“It was definitely a weekend of a lot of emotions, but I’m really proud of what we accomplished,” said Serravalle. “To qualify on pole and cross the line on the podium twice at Road America was a great way to finish the season. Race 1 was obviously difficult after going off on the first lap, but I was happy that we were able to fight back and show the pace we had. To come back and finish third in Race 2 and then cross the line second in the final race showed how competitive we were throughout the weekend.

“I can’t thank Zanella Racing, including Jose and Jessica Zanella, Ernie Gonella, Victor Franzoni and everyone on the team, enough for everything they’ve done for me this year. I’ve learned and grown so much as a driver. A special thank you to my driver coach, Nelson Mason, for constantly pushing me, helping me develop both on and off the track, and being such an important part of my progression.

“I’m also incredibly grateful to my family, mentors, sponsors, partners, and everyone else who has supported me throughout the season. None of this would be possible without the people who continue to believe in me and support my racing career.”

The Road America weekend brought Serravalle's first season in USF Juniors to a close, with the young Canadian gaining valuable experience throughout the year and ending the season with some of his strongest performances to date.

Serravalle also extends his appreciation to his 2026 partners and sponsors, including REVEL Realty, Destiny Copper, Thorold Automotive Solutions,and Road to Racing, whose support has played an important role throughout his season and in his continued development as a driver.

With his 2026 season now complete, Serravalle has not yet announced his plans for 2027. Following a strong finish to his USF Juniors campaign, the Canadian now turns his attention toward the next chapter of his racing career.
